The head of the Suryavansham family, Thakur Singh, has always been a respected personality who is revered by the villagers of Bharatpur. A man leading a peasant farm in several villages at once has a tremendous influence on the local police and administration. Bhanupratap lives in a huge mansion with his wife Sharda, three sons and a daughter.
One of his offspring works as an engineer, the second works as a doctor, and the third, the youngest, causes only negative emotions in parents, because he is an illiterate young man who is forbidden to participate in family affairs.
