The film tells about the life of Jesse Damrosh from the moment of his birth in 1987 to his admission to college at the age of twenty. The boy has a strained relationship with his father and the teenage period is quite difficult. They stopped understanding and constantly quarrel. All these events are aggravated by the explosion of the World Trade Center in the US capital and the election victory of George Bush.
